“...long ridge across the wave of limestone dirt that makes the wood layers around the big chimney wrapped in plate glass...”
Sadieville, Kentucky 1998
This house refers to the hole-through found in the dogtrot. This void is seen here in the center zone and at the connection to the garage element. Also present is the saddlebag with its interior chimney and the living areas arranged around the masonry anchor. The owners are botanists and the materials have been selected to ripen and weather in a natural way. Western red cedar clapboard and redwood columns have the intentional quality of change.
