This 2000 square foot house was designed and conceived for a single artist. Despite the special use of the house for studio activities it still contains the equivalent of 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.

The opposing roof structure is a reference to tractor sheds that sometimes appear in a back-to-back fashion. The public functions of living, entertaining, cooking and dining occur on one side of the stone chimney and the "private" activities including sleeping and painting are located in part two.
